The MIT SENSEable City Lab did an amazing job with this interactive geo-graph that depicts cell phone usage in Washington D.C. on President Obama’s 100th day in office. I wonder if this was written in processing? It looks like a touch of GIS as well. I love the orange-red square amplitude overlays for each cell phone tower’s usage.
I’ve really gotten into infosthetics lately and have devoted a great deal of time to mastering the Processing environment. Design is very important. The way data are presented affects how the findings are percieved and understood as well an audience’s level of interest. I wish I could see more of this in the bio-science research community.
