this is a cool screenshot of what my life looks like. its a small fraction of the data that im playing with for my honors thesis (these are integrals of waveforms collected in my experiment and computed in R). it kinda looks like a city, or a bar chart, or the matrix. def a cool background to something nerdy.

it speaks to the idea that there are multiple ways to look at numbers, and they can even be beautiful if seen through the right lens. numbers can also be overwhelming, u need to have a firm context to navigate them or you’ll get lost. every now and then it gets this way, but then u remember what ur looking for and can figure out how to write that formula that will give meaning to it all. i guess u could say then that numbers are an abstraction of something ‘real’ and it is ur job as a scientist to connect the two in some meaningful way.
